The Disciple 07:11
From the forest of darkness and conformity I've been drawn from the carnal grove Released from shackles of deception and years of pain Blood and tears stain my troubled past Thorns in flesh tear as I flee Broken and bruised by former toil Mocked as I proceed with no regard Former resolve no longer desired The forest cries out in the dead of night There's no escape you will return Blood flowing from wounds of flight The keeper of the forest in anger burns Blinders removed from eyes -- new light What is this hell that I now feel? Simultaneous conflict -- war on all sides As I struggle to shed the robes of my past Naked and cold as I now travel The new path I've been placed on The keeper still beckons yet I resist The call of the forest now slowly fades Seasons of relief provide refuge Between squalls of doubt and fear Clothed in robes of purity -- the master's gift My discipleship sure yet not complete By the grace and power of the master A slave of the forest I am no more Called from before the dawn of eternity In the name of the Ancient of Days I shall prevail!!!

Behold the oaken grove symbol of power And tranquility to misguided souls Dwelling deep within the bowels of the forest Pristine Inhabitants cloaked in mystery Awaiting the ritual of fire From ancient slumber they rise To mingle among the creatures ascending from the mist The fire commences in earnest Ritual chanting awakening Ancient spirits of deception Sacrificial offerings Stumble forward Disrobed and delivered to flames Erogenous escapades climax the night Ecstasy culminating in perversion As the forest recoils in horror The keeper laughs at the festival Mocking the precepts established Before the dawn of time The master gazes down from the canopy above Judgment commences from the skies The fire of wrath consumes The forest desecrated Inflamed shells of life Stare back in remorse Justice for violation The unholy rape of the forest repaid
4.
The majestic silhouette of the steeple Rises above the skyline of the forest At the onset of twilight In this cold and frosty realm Its sister structures dot the paths Through its twisting and turning terrain Beacons to those weary from the journey Burdened with loads they cannot bear The keeper looks on with disgust Offended by the foreign outlines Incensed with rage he summons Inhabitants deceived by hate Inciting to riot and murder He prepares his attack The sea of creatures advances Throngs overflowing with fury from below Flames of hate burn in their eyes Desecration their only desire With fear the aliens gaze on high Cries of supplication to the master above With indignation the ancient of days responds Thunder and lightning boil from the skies
5.
(the retreat) Supplications answered Tongues of praise flow Tongues of fire Rest on grateful shoulders The master receives his offering The inhabitants of the forest withdraw The flames of hate flee unquenched Rebuke flares from the nostrils of the almighty No churches will burn on this moonlit night
